    Academic Representation

The Quality Assurance Agency (the higher education equivalent to ofsted) stated that universities must provide students with the opportunity for representation on issues relating to their course. This is why Staff Student Liaison Committees were set up. These are meetings is which representatives from the student body and the department discuss issues relating to the way in which the course is delivered.

Being a Course Representative is a great way to directly affect the way your department works for you and your peers and help higlight and solve any problems you and your coursemates are having.

Course Representatives have the opportunity to have an input into every part of the University, from how courses are delivered and how the libraries are stocked, to the quality of computing services and catering facilities.

If you are interested in becoming a Course Representative or would like to know more about it then contact Juan Punzano (Vice President Education) - vpres@hope.ac.uk/0151 291 3651 or Paige Cox (Course Representative Officer).
