    Housing Rights

    Housing Advice

Hi, my name is Rich Broome. I am a newly appointed member of staff for Liverpool Student Homes (LSH). I will provide a new Housing Rights Student Advice Service to Liverpool students. My position is supported by Liverpool Hope University, John Moores University and the University of Liverpool and the respective students’ unions.

I have a variety of experience in the advice sector. A number of years ago I was a student at the University of Liverpool and throughout the 3 years of my studies I was involved with the LGoS Advice Centre. I went on to be employed by solicitors and by a Citizens Advice Bureau. Most recently I worked for a students’ union in London where I was the senior generalist adviser.

I will be delivering advice sessions at various locations around the universities and students’ unions. I also hope to deliver housing rights awareness talks and workshops.

Housing issues affect many students at some stage in their university life. Problems and difficulties with housing can have a massive impact on mental well being and academic performance. It really is essential that students have the necessary support and advice to avoid housing problems and to sort out issues as quickly as possible.

If you have any housing issues in private accommodation please do not hesitate to contact me.

I will be available to students at Liverpool Hope University every Monday from 10:00 am.

    Rich.
