Advice Statistics

The LHSU Advice Service was 18 months old in December 2015.

At that point, and excluding the Liverpool Student Homes sessions on Mondays, the Advice Service had worked with 322 students.

The issues raised by the Advice Service's clients can be clasified into 12 categories:

  • 31% - Academic Appeals
  • 12% - Complaints (Academic)
  • 8% - Student Finance
  • 8% - Complaints (Non-Academic)

  • 7% - Debt and Money Issues
  • 6% - Welfare Benefits
  • 6% - Academic Misconduct & Fitness to Practice
  • 6% - Disciplinary Matters

  • 4% - Housing
  • 4% - Other Academic Issues
  • 4% - Other University-Related Issues
  • 4% - Other Non University-Related Issues

N.B. Student finance and welfare benefits are comparitively under-represented in the figures because of the availability of Jeanette Jones' Welfare and Benefits drop-in service in the University's Student Well Being Department.
