Hate Crime Reporting

Tackling Hate Crime is one our VP Welfare & Community’s top priorities.

Liverpool Hope SU is now a 3rd Party Hate Crime Reporting Centre. Which means you can call into the Students’ Union to access StopHateUK who provide an independent, confidential 24/7 helpline for ‪Merseyside‬. They're here to help, whether you wish to report to the police or not.

Hate Crime involves any criminal offence which is perceived by the victime or any other person, to be motivated by hostility or prejudice based on a personal characteristic. Hate crime can be motivated by disability, gender identity, race, religion or faith and sexual orientation. (Home Office Website 26th March 2013)
