Advice Services

LHSU Advice offers impartial advice and information to all current Liverpool Hope University Students. Additionally, we can advise prospective students and alumni (up to one year following graduation). Our service is free, professional, independent, impartial, and confidential. We aim to provide a safe space where respect and tolerance are key values.

Academic Advisor

Our Academic Advisor is Maeve, who leads the service. Maeve offers confidential and impartial support and advice to students on academic issues such as; mitigating circumstances, claims, appeals, complaints, panel statements and student academic representation with the aim of helping students successfully complete their studies. The service is however designed to be accessible to all students and Maeve will always do her best to provide a friendly atmosphere and aim cut through the jargon to get to the heart of the issue.

 

The Students’ Union office is located in the Senior Common Room behind Our Place (FML009). Face to face appointments need to be arranged by way of email before attending the office on suadvice@hope.ac.uk. This will ensure someone is free to discuss your query and avoid any disappointment.

LHSU Advice is usually open Monday to Friday 9:00am until 5:00pm. Please note that our service does close over the holiday periods and the Union will notify students of this in advance.

The Union advice service can become extremely busy, and we hope to answer all queries in the quickest possible time. We therefore ask that you do not chase up a query or correspondence within 48 hours. If your query is particularly time sensitive, then please mark your email as extremely urgent. It is essential that you notify us of any deadlines as soon as possible.
