A Recap of Our SU Events 

Hey everyone! We wanted to take a moment to celebrate the incredible success of our recent Hope SU events and express our gratitude to all the amazing students who attended. The turnout at our freshers fair was record-breaking in attendance, and we couldn't be more thrilled! 

First and foremost, we want to extend a huge thank you to each and every one of you who joined us at the Freshers Fair. Your enthusiasm and support made the event truly special. We hope you had a fantastic time exploring all the different stalls, joining clubs and societies, and making new friends. Your presence and participation are what make our university community so vibrant and exciting! In addition to our Freshers Fair we have hosted a variety of other events including a vintage fair, plant pot painting, Axess sexual health check in and most recently we have completed our Black History Month calendar of events. 

Black History Month 2023

Ella, your VP for Community and Welfare organised and collaborated with a number of people and departments in delivering a series of events that not only celebrated the rich culture and history of the Black community but also provided opportunities for education, empowerment, and connection. One of the highlights of the month was welcoming our special guest speaker Chantelle Lunt. Chantelle shared her insights into the police services, along with her experiences and knowledge aiming to empower, and promote dialogue around racial equality, allyship, and understanding.

Settling into University Life

We also want to take this opportunity to check in with all of you and make sure you're settling into university life smoothly. We understand that starting university can be both exciting and overwhelming, so we're here to support you every step of the way. If you have any questions or need assistance, don't hesitate to reach out to us. Remember, you're not alone on this journey! As we move forward, we want to hear from you about the kind of events you'd like to see on campus. Your feedback is invaluable in shaping our future plans and ensuring that we continue to provide exciting and engaging experiences for everyone. Whether it's themed parties, guest speakers, or cultural celebrations, we want to know what interests you the most. So please, share your suggestions with us! Your voice matters. We are incredibly grateful for the success of our recent events and for the support of our amazing student community. We're committed to making your university experience unforgettable and want to create events that cater to your interests and passions.
