The role of a Vice-President:for Education at Liverpool Hope Students' Union is to be the lead officer on educational policy development. The Vice-President for education works to ensure students get the highest academic quality in areas including but not limited to teaching, feedback and assessment and timetabling. They often will campaign to improve education issues in the University and be the lead officer on all academic projects.
As Vice-President for Education at Liverpool Hope Students’ Union, I lead on academic policy development, championing improvements in teaching, feedback, assessments, and timetabling, while campaigning for better educational quality across the university.
I ran for this position because I have thoroughly enjoyed my past year in office & wanted the chance to continue my work!
I will be focusing on continuing to strengthen and champion the student voice by providing more social events for Course Reps & advocate for students on placement to ensure that students are aware of their placements at least 10 days before. I also want to continue to build strong relationships with faculty, departments & academic staff to ensure student feedback is taken seriously.
One fun fact about me is that I am best friends with Lewis Capaldi (I commented on a post in 2020 & he replied).
One thing that I wish every student knew about the SU is the smaller events that we host such as the plant pot painting & the events to celebrate the history months.
