The roles which tend to make a committee are as follows:

This can vary between society and teams as many teams also have captains and societies may have co presidents.
Please make sure you check which forms, risk assessments or policies you need and that they are filled out correctly.
Then send them all in the same email to union@hope.ac.uk at least two weeks in advance to ensure your booking is made.
We are working on a wellbeing document which will guide you through your options of how to resolve any miscomunications or disagreements before reaching our to us for further support.
Freshers is hosted in the first week of term before teaching starts this is and event where all sports teams and socities can recruit new members from any Level of study.
Refreshers is hosted in Janurary where socities and certain sports teams can also recruit new members from any Level of study.
To attend as a society or sport team you need to be registered as one before the event. Then you will need to provide confirmation of your attendace and a poster for your table by emailing suadvice@hope.ac.uk.
Additionally please update your web page discription to include any new contacts or details or logos. Again please send the updates to suadvice@hope.ac.uk.
Card machines need to be booked 7 days in advance of the event
They need to be signed out during office hours but they can be signed back in either at the office or security for out of hours
Before using please ensure VAT is at 0% if usure please come and ask us
For all events you can sign the card machine back in the next day however if it later than 24 hours from the event please see the training slides under "Roles and training" for fines
Deposits.
Deposits can be made into your sport teams or society accounts by sending an email to union@hope.ac.uk with your nominal code and amount to be deposited with a screen shot of the amount??.
You must cc another member of your committee and referance the name of your sport team or society for it to be proccessed.
Claims.
Before making a purchase on behalf of a sport team or society please check there is sufficent funds.
To claim money back please complete the claims form below including recipts and nomiminal code.
Once complete email to union@hope.ac.uk.
Fundraising
Fundraising is an important way in which you can fund your sport team or society.
We expect each sport team and society to organise at least one fundrasier activity each year.
If you would like suggestions or support with for fundraisers email union@hope.ac.uk.
Some priviously done ones are, bake sales, charity balls, rugby golf, strickly come dancing, battle of the bands.

Sponcerships
Sponcerships is another method to finance your sport or society
To find sponcerships reach out to organisations which align with your ethos. Please note the SU must approve any contracts before they are signed

Funding forums are for sports teams and societies to gain additinal funds, they take place 3 times a year.
Each sports team or society can receive funds from 2 of 3 funding forums.
To put a bid in please complete the bidding form below and send it to union@hope.ac.uk
At the funding forum there will be a short presentation updating you on what the SU has achieved so far that year.
Then in turn a representative from each sports team or society will have two minutes to speak about why they have requested extra funds.
Then after each sport team or society has spoken we will hold a vote anonymously online.
A maxumum of 6 members from each sport team or society can vote.
SALA is the Service And Leadership Award which is recoginised by the university at Graduation.
To achieve this award various criteria needs to have been met for more infomation email SALA@hope.ac.uk.
One aspect of the criteria can be achieved by being a committee member to get this approved email pres@hope.ac.uk or union@hope.ac.uk.
Being in a sports team or society shows teamwork, commitment, communication and more transferable skills be sure to include these skills when writing job aplications and speaking at job interviews.

Installation of row A to add 20 additional seats - £71.50 +VAT per booking (would apply once to a run of dates)
Additional technician - £27 50 +VAT per hour
Projection - £33 +VAT per day
