Creating a more accessing learning environment
Part of Liverpool Hope's mission and values is to provide students with a well rounded education. However, this can be difficult for disabled students who have particular access needs that are not always met. Some students may struggle to hear in lectures because the lecturer is standing away from the mic or some may find it difficult to get across the campus. Whilst there are some accommodations made we believe that more can be done. That is why we like to invite you to a one hour focus group where you can share you views and experiences in regards to access.
The focus group will take place in a safe environment were all views and experiences can be shared in a confidential space. We hope to use these findings to produce a more accessible campus and teaching spaces. We aim to create a guide for lecturers and tutors that will encourage them to adopt more accessible teaching practices.
