SPORTS HALL DEVELOPMENT: Why were we not consulted?

From January 2015, there will be no access to outdoor changing rooms for rugby, football and hockey games/training. Why were students not consulted about these plans? How will this building work affect students? Has the university considered the inconvenience it will cause?

Come to the Student Forum to discuss how we can show the university that we're not happy while also showing our solidarity, the benefit of clubs on students' lives, and what we want to do about the whole situation.

FREE EDUCATION: GOOD or BAD?

Discussing the motion to support the "Free Education: No Fees, No Cuts, No Debt" demonstration and campaign. 

The demo is in London on 19th November and will be made up of unions from around the country who share these beliefs. It is led by the National Campaign Against Fees and Cuts, and supported by NUS, The Student Assembly Against Austerity and the Young Greens.

Join us to debate the pros and cons of free education, to vote on the motion to support the campaign and to share your thoughts and ideas with other students and your Sabbatical Officers. This forum will also be your chance to hold Hope SU President, Hannah Baker, to account.

 

 

What is this Forum?

The Hope in the Union Forum is is where you take control of your Union. This is your opportunity to set the direction and vision for all Hope students. Within this forum members can discuss and debate political issues and influence the Union’s policy with the intention of creating political direction. Also this forum offers you the chance to ask the SU President or Student officers any questions and for student groups to apply for funding, which is decided by you.
