Liverpool Guild of Students in hosting a mayoral hustings event open to all students in the city.

Put your questions to the potential candidates in the running to become the first Metro Mayor of Liverpool City.

On 4th May Liverpool City Region will be elected its first every Metro Mayor. The Metro Mayor will be responsible for areas such as transport across the region and the education of residents in that area.

Don't let student voices be underrepresented - we have invited all the candidates to come in and tell you about their plans for the region and give you the opportunity to ask them what they will do for students. 

The eight candidates standing for Metro Mayor are:

Roger Bannister - Trade Union and Socialist Coalition (TUSC) 
Paul Breen - Get The Coppers Off The Jury 
Tony Caldeira - Conservative 
Carl Cashman - Liberal Democrat 
Tom Crone - Green Party 
Tabitha Morton - Women's Equality Party 
Steve Rotheram - Labour 
Paula Walters - UKIP.
