Slavery Remembrance Day Walk

Church Street bandstand to the Albert Dock

As part of Slavery Remembrance Day, remember ancestors who, deprived of their liberty, enabled the port of Liverpool to thrive.

Join the Walk of Remembrance through Liverpool City Centre led by community representatives and the speaker at this year's Dorothy Kuya Slavery Remembrance Lecture.

Meet at the bandstand on Church Street. The route takes in Liverpool One and passes the site of the historic Old Dock where slave ships would once have moored and been repaired. The walk finishes at the Dr Martin Luther King Jr Building within the Albert Dock.
