Syria Week ( Non SU event)

'The 15th of March marks the 6th Anniversary of the Syrian Revolution. To mark this date, students at the University of Liverpool have put together a number of exciting events to stand in solidarity with those affected by the crisis and to raise awareness of the suffering.

Monday 13th March @7pm: The Syrian revolution: six years on
Confused by what’s going on in Syria? Come along to our first event to hear about the situation in Syria before and during the uprising from the likes of Dr Haytham Alhamwi, a former political prisoner who was held in Syria from 2003-2005.

Wednesday 15th March @8pm: Frontline Syria: Expert Panels and a Syrian Dinner
Join us at our second event for this unique opportunity to hear from expert panels on the refugee crisis and women and the Syrian revolution. We will be hosting a range of speakers from across the county, including representatives from organisations working to support the Syrianpeople, both on the frontline in Syria and more locally in the UK.
Hear from these fantastic speakers while enjoying a delicious three course Syrian meal!
