Our Student Representatives advocate for specific interests and minority groups. They are important to ensure all opinions are heard and that, as a union, we are doing all we can to support and campaign for a better student experience for everyone. The Student Representatives are democratically elected at the beginning of each academic year.
Our Student Reps will be shown below with their contact details and manifestos once elected.
If you would like to apply for a chance to be one of our Student Reps please go to the 'Volunteer page' to find out more.
Course Representatives act as a communication channel between staff and students to provide both positive and negative feedback to staff in order to continuously improve the student learning experience.
Course Representatives are in partnership with the institution and the Students’ Union by helping to create solutions to problems by representing their classmates’ views and opinions on matters relating to learning and teaching.
The university has many ways of assessing whether it is achieving its aims for the future development of its courses. The university relies heavily on student feedback to make sure that it is providing the best quality of education. Therefore, Course Representatives are a valued part of the process of feedback and improvement.
Course Representatives are students elected, selected or self-nominated in their department to represent the views of other students on their course.
